CEOs push Andrews to reopen faster
The chief executives of seven of Australia's largest companies have sent an open letter to Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, telling him the continuing lockdown in his state is unsustainable because of the personal and financial toll it is inflicting on people.
BHP's Mike Henry, Orica's Alberto Calderon, Wesfarmers' Rob Scott, CBA's Matt Comyn, Incitec Pivot's Jeanne Johns, Newcrest's Sandeep Biswas and Coca-Cola Amatil's Alison Watkins congratulated Mr Andrews and the citizens of Victoria on bringing the COVID-19 outbreak under control.
