Despair as Northern Rivers hit by second major flood
The Northern Rivers in New South Wales was hit with a second major flood on Wednesday, after Lismore’s levee bank once again failed to protect the city and heavy rain caused flash flooding in the centre of Byron Bay.
Police are searching for a woman who went missing in floodwater near Lismore on Tuesday night and the Bureau of Meteorology warned the wild weather would continue to move south this week.
