Federal government support for COVID-stricken businesses in the ACT, NSW and Victoria will follow the same path as income support for stood-down workers and be abolished when each jurisdiction reaches an 80 per cent vaccination rate of those aged 16 and over.
Because the business packages, which are funded 50/50 by the Commonwealth and each state government, vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, the details of how each will be wound up will also vary – but the end points are the same.
