Bushfire focus still on NSW

Residents were returning to their homes on the Tasman Peninsula on Friday, wondering if their houses were still standing in one of the areas hardest hit by bushfires.

But attention remained fixed on NSW, with about 100 fires still burning, 18 of them uncontained, and major blazes in Victoria.
