Treasurer Jim Chalmers has flagged that Tuesday’s federal budget will take a first step to partnering with social impact investors to tackle problems such as youth unemployment and homelessness in disadvantaged communities.
“What that means is partnering with philanthropic organisations, that means investing in local communities, and it means doing something meaningful about impact investing,” Dr Chalmers said on Friday.
