The commander of the US Armed Forces in the Indo-Pacific has warned of a growing gap in offensive capability between China and its neighbours, including Australia.
Admiral Philip Davidson said the "asymmetry that is growing in the region [with] malign actors like North Korea and China" was a source of instability, and that investment in defensive technologies was insufficient.
