The chairman of Australia Post has denied short-term incentive payments made to executives represent corporate bonuses, as Labor and the Greens accuse the government-owned corporation of wasting taxpayers’ money.
It was revealed on Tuesday that five senior employees took home retention payments of up to $500,000. This was made public amid renewed scrutiny of payments to Australia Post executives earning between $300,000 and $400,000.
