AstraZeneca vaccine jab safer than the pill: PM
Scott Morrison expects urgent medical advice on links between AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine and rare blood-clotting cases to be finalised on Thursday, as European regulators add new warning labels and recommend that people under 30 receive a different drug.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (ATAGI) are meeting to consider updating health advice to the government, hours after the European Medicines Agency said rare side effects could be linked to the drug.
