Australia’s antisemitism envoy has proposed stripping universities of funding for failing to combat discriminatory conduct in a broad-ranging plan to tackle a scourge manifested in rising hate speech and violence.
But the fate of policy ideas contained in the plan released by Jillian Segal on Thursday is unclear, as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese side-stepped questions about whether his government will implement the plan in full.
