Albanese to meet Zelensky after Jenkins’ 13-year sentence

Rome | Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was scheduled to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of Pope Leo XIV’s inauguration mass amid efforts to free Australian Oscar Jenkins.

Jenkins, who fought for Ukraine until he was captured in December last year, was sentenced at the weekend to 13 years in a Russian maximum-security prison for fighting as a mercenary.
