Albanese promises national anti-corruption body by Christmas

Labor leader Anthony Albanese has sharpened his commitment to establishing a national integrity commission, vowing to do so by the end of this calendar year, should he win the May 21 federal election.

As the government stood by its proposed model, which has been criticised by legal experts for not being robust enough, Mr Albanese said a body with real teeth was now a top priority for Labor.
