Albanese hopes to persuade China, US against a trade war

Anthony Albanese says Australia will use its relationships with both China and the United States to try and head off a trade war between the two superpowers under the presidency of Donald Trump.

Speaking just before departing to South America for the APEC and G20 summits, the prime minister said the strategic competition between the two had implications for Australia and “is something that we’re dealing with”.
