Dreyfus starts search for next High Court judge
The Albanese government has kicked off its search for the next High Court justice and is inviting law school deans and community legal centres to have their say as part of a broader consultation process.
Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus told The Australian Financial Review he had written to the states and territories and others to seek their opinion on who should replace Justice Patrick Keane, who reaches the mandatory retirement age of 70 on October 26.
