Could offshore wind blow Alex Dyson off course?

The independent launched his political career with a viral video backing wind farms via a windmill dance. Now he won’t say if he backs offshore wind. Voters say that won’t work.

Humour has long been an effective political weapon for Alex Dyson. The former youth radio host launched his first campaign with an interpretative dance where he backed renewable energy by impersonating a windmill.

“Humour is good at picking apart hypocrisy and I think it offers something refreshing in politics, which is an incessantly negative space,” Dyson, 36, says from his campaign office.
