Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has made another key pitch to win over voters in south-east Queensland, with Labor committing to invest $112 million to help deliver the third stage of the Gold Coast light rail project.
With a future Shorten government already committing to contribute $2 billion to Brisbane's $2.24 billion Cross River Rail project, Labor is hoping the extra money for infrastructure will be enough to win over voters in the crucial battleground state in the May election.
