Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is under pressure to bring forward new easing of Melbourne restrictions in the face of growing business frustrations and federal government warnings that every further day of lockdown will cost 1000 jobs and worsen mental health problems.

Mr Andrews announced the easing of restrictions in Melbourne from Monday, including extending travel limits from five kilometres to 25 kilometres, increasing the size of outdoor gatherings to 10 people from two households and dropping time limits on leaving the home for exercise and socialising.
