Andrews faces fresh ‘red shirts’ probe after Labor MP crosses floor
Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews faces a fresh probe into Labor’s infamous “red shirts” rort after one of his MPs sensationally crossed the parliamentary floor to vote with ousted ALP powerbroker Adem Somyurek.
Western Metropolitan MP Kaushaliya Vaghela faces suspension for breaking party rules that require Labor MPs to vote along party lines except in the case of a conscience vote. Ms Veghela is a close ally of Mr Somyurek, who successfully moved the motion in the upper house on Wednesday.
