Bravo to Matt Comyn for boldly asking the question that so urgently needs to be asked (“Comyn’s swipe at cartoonish Canberra”). He “asks us – politicians, the media, the business community and society more broadly – to consider whether the proliferation of demonstrably false claims in our public discourse are damaging trust in public institutions and making it even harder to address the policy and prosperity problems we endlessly diagnose, but never seem to solve”.
