These ‘two simple measures’ would close super gender gap by 2050
Paying superannuation on parental leave and giving parents a “super baby bonus” of $5000 when they have a new child would eliminate the gender retirements savings gap by 2050, new data from the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia shows.
More than 80 per cent of Australians surveyed by the industry group believe the government should use such initiatives to try to boost the super balances of women who take time out of work to have children.
