The Australian Tax Office has been working for months with international partners to identify Australian clients of Bermuda law firm Appleby, ahead of the release on Monday of a massive leak of files.

Deputy Commissioner Mark Konza said the ATO would respond decisively to the data release, which had been flagged by international partners.
