Labor denies dumping plans to pay super on government-funded parental leave, as new research shows the gender gap in super balances among young professionals climbing to a fresh high.

The Australian Financial Review revealed earlier this month that Labor was wavering on its longstanding pledge to pay superannuation on government-funded parental leave due to concerns around the budget outlook.
