Keating ‘on the money’ on super funds appointing directors

Industry super funds will increasingly seek to nominate directors to boards of companies where they hold a significant stake as an alternative to taking firms private, experts said.
Former prime minister Paul Keating predicted super funds would push for “double-digit or high single” percentage ownership of significant Australian companies and more influence over them as the system became more “sophisticated”.
