A net zero promise is not enough, super must hit this annual target
Superannuation funds must cut their carbon emissions by 7 per cent every year if they want to meet their net-zero commitments or risk greenwashing claims and customer anger, investment strategy firm Scientific Beta has warned.
Doing so would bring them in line with European pension funds, which are required to meet an annual 7 per cent decarbonisation target under EU energy transition frameworks if they have a net zero-by-2050 goal.
