Rugby league isn’t exactly the core business for listed tiddler Quantum Energy , which makes hot-water systems. But the sport seems to have been a big focus for Quantum boss Phil Sydney of late.

Quantum has a 37.5 stake in National Rugby League club Manly-Warringah, which the company purchased from property identity Max Delmage for $2.84 million sometime in financial 2011.
