The manufacturing sector is one of the most short-sold of the market as the challenging outlook for these stocks finds them out of favour.
The prospect of a turn in their fortunes over the next six to 12 months is also bleak. Hurdles facing the sector, such as a soaring dollar and a restrained consumer, show little sign of diminishing.
