As long-haul flights become ultra long, and passengers celebrate reaching their destination faster, the toll on their minds and bodies is often forgotten.

By convention, ultra long-haul trips have a flight duration greater than 16 hours. Duration is usually timed from the moment the plane first moves to the moment it comes to rest, often known as “chocks to chocks”.
