Victoria’s case surge is threatening an explosion in infections and hospitalisations, with forecasters predicting if trends continue, the state could be facing more than 4000 cases a day by the end of the month.
But with daily numbers bouncing around, forecasters caution there is a high level of uncertainty associated with the predictions.
