Howzat! Crowds stumped by virus rules as SCG capacity slashed
Tickets for the third Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground will not be sold to residents of COVID-19 "hotspots" under a compromise between Venues NSW and the NSW Health Department to head off criticism the match could be a public health risk.
The SCG will also be limited to one quarter of its spectator capacity of 48,000 when the Test against India starts on Thursday, meaning about 12,000 cricket fans may miss out on seeing the match live.
