NSW mulls early freedoms for unvaccinated

Restrictions on unvaccinated people in NSW are scheduled to be lifted on December 1 but the state government may decide to remove all curbs even earlier if strong vaccination takeup rates continue.

NSW reported 177 new local coronavirus cases on Sunday, the first time in three months that the daily number has dropped below 200. Authorities also reported one COVID-19-related death, of an unvaccinated woman in her 70s.
