NSW extends restrictions, business support due within the week

Health restrictions in NSW have been extended until late February as the omicron variant of COVID-19 continues to put pressure on the state’s health system.
Non-urgent elective surgeries are likely to resume mid-next month and Premier Dominic Perrottet said that was a bigger priority than allowing people to resume singing and dancing.
