ANU professor’s prediction of 29,000 deaths not based on national plan
An economics professor at the Australian National University who predicted this week that national cabinet’s COVID-19 plan could lead to 29,000 deaths said his team did not intend to damage the strategy agreed on by the state and federal governments.
Quentin Grafton from the Crawford School of Public Policy also said it was possible plans to relax restrictions in NSW next month could allow the virus to spread uncontrolled through society.
