Woodside Petroleum has won four new exploration permits off the coast of Myanmar in partnership with UK gas major BG Group.

BG announced late on Wednesday that it had been awarded the four permits, two as operator and the others as partner to another operator. It did not identify its partner, but BG was known to be bidding with Woodside.
