Australia’s new fleet of anti-submarine frigates will cost almost $4 billion each, even before weapons and other key systems are fitted, making them the navy’s most expensive warship.

Freshly published tender documents have finally shed light on the individual cost of each of the Hunter-class frigates after months of the Albanese government and Defence officials ducking questions over the revised budget for the controversial project.
