Russia tightens grip in Crimea

Ukraine has accused Russia of seizing border posts and ordering two of its navy ships to surrender, with Ukraine’s Prime Minister saying there’s little chance the crisis will be resolved in the short term.

Ukraine has accused Russia of seizing border posts and ordering two of its navy ships to surrender, with Ukraine’s new Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk saying there’s little chance the burgeoning military crisis will be resolved in the short term.

The claims have further inflamed tensions over the flashpoint of Crimea, with Russia’s Defence Ministry denying it had told Ukrainian naval forces to surrender.
