Bellamy's takeover cleared 'sensitive data' hurdle

Josh Frydenberg said the Foreign Investment Review Board was looking more closely at what constituted critical infrastructure and broadened the category to include data.

Extreme caution would be applied to foreign takeover bids involving sensitive data but deals like last week's Bellamy's acquisition were good for jobs and growth, Treasurer Josh Frydenberg said.

“If we do our job right, by making decisions based on [strict] criteria for foreign investment, the Australian people will come with us," he said.
