Few can doubt the success of ‘stabilisation’ for the Australia-China relationship, but how might it work when applied to the region?

The merits are clearly resumed dialogue and a joint leaders’ statement bedecked with memoranda of understanding. It is reasonable to ask what all this activity amounts to.
