Airtasker chairman and telecommunications entrepreneur James Spenceley has travelled to his former home of Ukraine to deliver ambulances and support vehicles on a hair-raising 2500-kilometre road trip skirting the front lines of the war-torn country.

Speaking from Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine’s south-east on Tuesday morning, Mr Spenceley, who lived in the Black Sea port city of Odesa in 2004 and met his Ukrainian wife there, said he wanted to contribute to much-needed humanitarian efforts.
