‘Steam out their ears’: Australians fired up about gas exports

New research backs the push for Australia’s gas exporters to set aside gas for domestic use, with a near total majority of voters across the political spectrum supporting the creation of a domestic gas reserve.

The Albanese government is considering new domestic price and supply arrangements as part of a major review of Australia’s east coast gas market, which it launched in June amid a febrile public debate over gas prices and their effects on households and industry.
