Queensland authorities are monitoring a category one cyclone crossing the Cape York Peninsula, while residents in the Wide Bay region count the costs of the weekend’s damaging floods.
Flood waters are slowly receding in Maryborough after the Mary River peaked just under 10 metres on Sunday night, where about 30 businesses were damaged by flooding caused by ex-tropical cyclone Seth.
