More wild weather to hit Queensland as floods peak

The cost of flooding in Queensland is expected to rise after an emergency levee bank erected to protect the town of Maryborough failed on Sunday, forcing businesses in the town centre to be evacuated.

Heavy rain caused by ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth has caused major flooding in the state from Bundaberg to Kilcoy, with some areas recording more than 600 millimetres of rainfall on Saturday morning.
