Labor’s delay on North West Shelf gas decision ‘political’: opposition

The Albanese government has been accused of playing politics over the huge proposed extension of the Woodside-run North West Shelf gas project after it deferred its decision until after the West Australian election.

Business groups said Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s move to push back a deadline on the proposal to March 31 would have a chilling effect on potential investment decisions.
