Labor appoints former NBN boss as nuclear head

Former NBN boss and Labor ally Mike Quigley has been appointed as the head of the federal government’s peak nuclear science organisation that is home to the nation’s only nuclear reactor.
Mr Quigley was named as the next chairman of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation at a time when Opposition leader Peter Dutton is proposing a nuclear power plan that has been condemned by the Albanese government.
