Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen admits that Australians face a “long haul” to reach the “big ask” of his newly legislated 43 per cent national emissions reduction target.

Enshrining the 2030 goal has unlocked global investor interest for the coming decades of decarbonisation, and put Australia back at the “global table”, but Bowen said time was short.
