Dutton loose with the truth on benefits of nuclear energy
Readers’ letters on Peter Dutton’s nuclear push; international student caps; the Victorian Liberal Party; childcare costs; and the Greens.
Unsurprisingly, Peter Dutton is being a bit loose with truth when describing Ontario in Canada as having cheaper electricity because it has 20 nuclear reactors.
Mr Dutton neglected to mention that the electricity price is government controlled and subsidised annually by $8 billion (equivalent of about $20 billion for Australia’s population).
