The bushfire crisis has inspired an unprecedented rush of donations from around the world.

World No.1 tennis player Ashleigh Barty became the latest Australian sports star to join fundraising efforts for bushfire victims, pledging to donate all of her Brisbane International prize money – the top seed would take home $360,000 if she wins the event, which began on Saturday.
