If progress on the energy transition was a function of the number of industry groups and think tanks advocating for it, Australia would be leading the world.
Alongside the small but loud Smart Energy Council, there’s the Clean Energy Investor Group, the Investor Group on Climate Change and the Australian Renewable Energy Alliance; policy think tanks include the Climate Council and Climateworks, renewable finance specialists Climate Finance Forum and even the bespoke state-based Queensland Renewable Energy Council.
