Potential conflicts of interest and transparency shortfalls inside Australia’s controversial carbon credit system, a critical vehicle for Labor’s plan to cut national emissions by 43 per cent in 2030, will be at the centre of a review headed by scientist Ian Chubb.
Energy and Climate Change Minister Chris Bowen will announce Mr Chubb’s appointment and terms of reference for the review at a Carbon Market Institute forum on Friday.
