The next virus decisions are critical
How will we feel in a year's time if some nations have avoided further serious economic damage for modest increases in outbreak risk?

It can reasonably be argued that this makes sound economic sense because it appears to be the fastest route to a sustained recovery. This is what technology author Tomas Pueyo describes as The Hammer and the Dance. Apply the hammer of strong measures first, and then you can start to dance as freedoms return.
