The battle with delta is lost, but the war can still be won
There is no hope of suppression to zero cases: we must return to flattening the curve to stop hospitals being overwhelmed with unvaccinated sick people.
We have lost this latest battle in NSW to the delta variant. The outlook now is very different to earlier this year.
We must accept that delta and its successors will be with us forever. We should accept that most of us will get infected at some time or another.
