Sydney Airport Alliance’s proposal for Sydney Airport is the latest arrival on a growing list of public company takeover proposals anchored by Australian super funds.

This time QSuper and AustralianSuper – two of the country’s largest funds – are involved. The Sydney Airport proposal, together with other activity, has led some to declare we are witnessing the beginning of a wave of super fund-led public company takeovers.
